Tamil Nadu Joins UDAY Discom Debt Restructure Scheme

After long opposition to the Centre's debt restructuring scheme for discoms, Tamil Nadu on Monday joined the Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojna (Uday) scheme under which it stands to benefit by Rs 11,000 crore through savings in interest cost and on power distribution and transmission losses, an official statement here said.....
